Haiti Soccer Drive

by carmine on April 1, 2013

We are very excited to announce our Haiti Soccer Drive. For the entire month of April we will be raising support and awareness for our brothers and sisters in Haiti. Caleb Midi, a former soccer player gave up his career to become pastor in Haiti. He reached out to us and has asked for our help with his soccer children’s ministry. They have asked for our help in collecting new and used soccer balls and cleats, and monetary donations for uniforms.  If you cannot help out with any of the following, we ask that you still pray for this ministry to reach many children and change their lives for the glory of God. For the entire month of April, a percentage of total sales from our merchandise will go directly to Caleb and his ministry. We also have partners who are going to match the end of the month total. If you would like to partner with us in any way, please let us know!

As you will see in Caleb’s video, he has a desire to share the gospel with these young children. Proverbs 22:6 tells us, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it.” These gospel-taught children will be the future of Haiti. Caleb desires to use sports to witness to his people much like our goal for UA. He prays that this soccer school will give these children an opportunity to get involved in something positive and life-changing in order to avoid being trapped in the world of alcohol, drugs and prostitution that is so common in this area. Please watch the video and pray about how God wants you to help this ministry.

“We need prayers. We need prayers for the land, for the soccer school, soccer balls, cleats, and monetary donations for uniforms. We have about 100 children for the soccer school and 300 for the children’s angel ministry. We are praying to reach more children for the Lord. “ –Caleb Midi
