As far as I can remember, I have known Jesus as my savior. God has done great things in my life for me. One of the greatest examples of his faithfulness started in 3rd grade. I had lots of bad headaches; they felt like the kind when your head is getting hit with bricks. It felt like my head was going to explode. I had these headaches all year, through the summer, and into 4th grade. Now they were worse, and I was throwing up and I finally went to the doctor. They wanted me to get a CT scan so I did. When I got my CT scan they wanted me to get a MRI because they found something. After my MRI they called my house and said I needed to go to Chapel Hill to see a brain surgeon. I was very scared, but I was reminded that God says he is with you always. When we went to Chapel Hill, I found out I had a brain cyst that they had to do surgery to remove. Now I was scared.
So on October 5th, 2010, God walked me through a scary time of surgery and recovery. It was because of that entire journey, I got to meet so many baseball players, families at UNC, and I felt the support of my MGCS family. So the lesson I learned is that God will never leave you nor forsake you. Even though things may look scary and impossible God always has treasures at the end of the path for you.

The journey for me gave me life, but the appreciation for the game that I love, baseball. Thank God everyday for life but for ability. Use your gift to give glory to God!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and Lean not to your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
